Writer's Block: Stories of old

Who is your favorite mythical creature/character, and why?

Well if 1001 Arabian Nights counts as mythical, then my favorite character is Morgiana from Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves. She's a servant to Ali Baba and basically saves him and everyone in the story from the danger caused by his bumbling and hapless ways. She's clever, brave, and basically gets shit done. Without Morgiana, Ali Baba would be dead at least twice over. Also, while Ali Baba is considered the hero of the story, Morgiana is the one who kills the main villain. Morgiana is a true heroine and I love her!

Writer's Block: A super debate

If you could either have the powers of Spider-man or the Green Lantern, which would you choose, and why?

I would choose The Green Lantern because the Green Lantern ring works based on willpower and imagination. It has limitless possibilities especially when compared to Spiderman's skill set. Using the powers of your thoughts to create stuff seems way cooler than climbing walls to me. Shame about the weakness to the color yellow though.
I'm going to deliberately misinterpret the meaning of a certain event right now because I'm in a nostalgic mood. Saturday morning cartoons were my favorite thing about the 90's besides being born. Might Morphin' Power Rangers, Batman The Animated Series, Superman, Gargoyles, Hey Arnold , Doug, etc. If it was on in the 90's on Saturday mornings or afternoons, I watched at least an episode of it! So here is the awesome opening theme to Batman the Animated Series which always give me chills and takes me right back to the Saturday mornings of my childhood!Embedding is disabled so click the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEx9r5enZsk
As a child growing up in the 90's and 00's, I was taken shopping by my grandmother at various thrift-stores and Goodwills on Long Island. The radios in those places always played the contemporary Top 40 songs which at the time happened to be Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, 'N sync, Backstreet Boys, Smash Mouth, etc. Basically, a lot of songs from the year 1999 or 2000 remind me of thrift stores.

As by Stevie Wonder reminds me of my mom! She always played her oldies around the house when I was younger. While my musical tastes differ from hers alot, I enjoy 70's oldies because they remind of my childhood and my mom and I singing along together! I think that As also sums the unconditional love we share! So it's a perfect for my mom!

I'm sorry this day late! Other stuff took over my life!  A song that makes me sad is Caught A Lite Sneeze by a cover song Voltaire! The song  is originally by Tori Amos . Basically the song is about clinging to a dying relationship and wanting to keep it going even though it's just about over. The idea of falling out of love with someone is sad to me especially if only one of the people in relationship feels that way. The slow death of a relationship is something that will always be sad, I think.

A song that makes me happy is Let's Go by Goodbye Gadget. It's a really upbeat song from the point of view of one friend to another. The first friend is telling the second friend that they can do anything, be anything, go anywhere. The Chorus goes:
We'll do the things we've never done.
We'll break the moon and punch the sun.
And we'll never ever stop; they can never make us stop!
We will go father than the sea and make up who we wanna be
And we'll never ever stop; they can never make us stop!

So Yeah! It's a really good song for getting pumped up and motivated. I like it alot! Goodbye Gadet doesn't have Let's Go on Youtube so you need to go this website to listen to the song: http://www.reverbnation.com/#!/goodbyegadget.

I don't have any songs that I actively loathe but one song is close to being loathed is Firework by Katy Perry! It's so overplayed! In my opinion, Katy Perry doesn't have the best voice so that makes it worse. However, I'm staying true to my established format and posting the video.

This question is kind of hard because it's paralyzing me with indecision. There are so many songs to pick! If there was song that I could play over and over without going insane I would choose Got The Life by Korn. Korn was the first band I really got into when I started exploring my musical taste. It will always have a special place in my heart as cheesy as that sounds!
